Your questions answered

I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have, please drop me an email or call me

How often should I change my oil?

The rule of thumb for most vehicles, however, is to change your oil after at least 8,000 kilometres. Still, some cars might only require full synthetic oil changes after 12,000 to 16,000 kilometres, according to Fix.

Can synthetic oil be used in older vehicles?

Modern synthetic oil is safe to use in all types of vehicles, ranging from new purchases to classics to aging not-so-classics. It protects better, performs better, and lasts longer.

How often do I need a tune up on my vehicle?

Typically, if you have an older vehicle with a non-electronic ignition, you should get a tune up about every 10,000-12,000 miles, or every year. Newer cars with an electronic ignition and fuel injection can go from 25,000 to 50,000 miles before needing a major tune

What are some of the signs of a tune up?

When your vehicle displays these signs; difficulty starting the Engine,  engine stalling, strange noises, warning light and increased fuel consumption you may need a tune up.

How long should spark plugs last?

A standard copper spark plug has an average life span of 10,000-20,000 miles. Silver plugs, used for older vehicles, can last up to 20,000 miles. Expensive iridium spark plugs or platinum spark plugs can last 60,000 miles. Extended life spark plugs or long life spark plugs can last 100,000 miles
